Orphan Aid
A sponsorship platform for the Salik Foundation, where a monthly commitment of thirty three dollars is made to feel like a relationship rather than a transaction.
How it was made
Child sponsorship is a crowded category, and most of it looks the same. The brief was to make Orphan Aid legible in one screen: who it serves, where it works, what it costs, and why this organisation rather than the one before it.
The page opens on a live operations globe with the numbers stated plainly beside it, nine countries, fifty one thousand eight hundred children and rising, thirty three dollars a month. Under it, the five things support actually provides are named as five words: food, education, healthcare, shelter, protection.
The harder problem was trust. A section called why our approach is different answers it in three numbered claims, specialised focus, scalable systems and accountability, each one a commitment a donor can hold the charity to later. Tiers run from a helping hand at thirty three dollars to a guardian angel at a hundred and eleven, with what each one covers spelled out rather than implied.
Real time donation notices run quietly along the bottom of the page, so a visitor sees that other people are giving without being shouted at.
