Sahaba Summer Camp
The fourth annual Sahaba Summer Camp, sold as a cinematic six chapter story and closed with a registration form that parents actually finish.
How it was made
A summer camp has about four seconds to convince a parent, and a list of dates does not do it. The brief was to make a parent feel the summer their child is about to have, then ask for the registration while they are still feeling it.
The site opens on Edmonton at dusk and moves through six chapters, faith, fun, friends, and the weeks that follow. Each chapter is a full screen scene with one line of copy, so the page reads the way a trailer plays. The practical detail is never hidden: seven weeks, three Edmonton mosques, four days a week, ten in the morning to two in the afternoon, ages seven to fifteen.
Underneath the film, the page is a working registration funnel. Weekly themes are laid out as a plain list so a parent can scan what their child will actually do, from Sunnah sports to a week on the Muslim world, and the close asks for the spot while noting that all three locations filled by mid May last year.
This is the project UMTI students study for pacing. It shows how to hold a story for six chapters and still ask for the sale.
